Barnsley Civic Trust is a modern, exciting movement of over 100 members - residents, volunteers and local businesses. The Trust is led by an Executive Team of around 16 elected members, including a trustee of the Cooper Gallery, a town planner, a housing consultant, a nurse, a web designer, an educationalist, community activists and youth and social workers.

The official Barnsley Civic Trust officers and Executive Team members are elected at an Annual General Meeting in May every year. Different members are responsible for different aspects of work, including leading projects like the Shop Awards, Planning Group, Big Debates and organising fun events.
